Playing off a Print

It’s always fun to play off of a print and utilizing your accessories is a great way to change up your jeans and a blouse look.  Although an animal print can be fairly neutral, try to pull out a color that makes a statement and mix it into your outfit.

I’m a fan Wendy’s Lookbook.  She’s got great style and great styling tips.  Some of my inspiration comes from her tips and looks.  She has THE BEST SCARF video, that is a must see!

Another paring that I believe is effortless.  What I want to focus on is the fact that a statement piece can easily change the look of any outfit.  The Femme Fetal Necklace by Stella & Dot definitely gives it more of a rocker chic look especially when the leather jacket is thrown into the mix.

Jeans and a Blouse

Hi everyone!  I like to create looks that effortless and with pieces that attract my eye.  I’m am so thankful that tunics are in!  I love mixing the look of a free flowing shirt with a pair of skinny jeans.  After having two kids and not having a physique that allows me to wear a nice pair of fitted jeans and a fitted t-shirt…that just doesn’t work anymore.  All I can do with that is embrace it and camouflage what I can.

Holiday Inspiration: Lace

Lady in Red

Taking a statement red cocktail dress and playing off the lace is what inspired me to put this look together.  With lace detail on the bodice of the dress, there is no need to distract the eye with a necklace.  Making a statement on my ears and arm just adds a little more interest to the outfit.  The gold accessories draws out the gold/nude accent behind the lace on the bodice.
